User Experience (UX) and Design Research helps to uncover user needs, use analytical techniques and their own judgment to prioritize design work and communicate those results to other members of the design team. Their findings yield insights that can be used to determine what people need from their tools, the exact points where users are abandoning solutions, and even help uncover the next big innovation in a product line.

My first year at IBM was through a Design Research Apprenticeship. IBM Apprenticeship Program is an official registered apprenticeship recognized by the Department of Labor (DOL).

An average day, I open the office prior to all staff and patients entering our office. I set up the files for the morning, update online forums for appointments, and answer voicemails and return calls. Overall, the goal to provide excellent services to members and patients. As patients came in, I checked them in on our online software and update membership options, packages, and promotions. Our team goal was to create and maintain positive relationships with patients and maintain the cleanliness of the clinic and the organization of workspace. In this experience, I gained the confidence to present and sell memberships and visit packages. I worked alongside our office management, assisted in conducting the manager's policies, procedures, and direction. I have a strong willingness to learn and grow and am able to accept constructive criticism in a positive manner. The main goal is to use that feedback as a learning tool.
